Having just spoken to a pal about how to blog, and having relied on my own blog on QVC and myspace, I thought it's time to do a proper one of my own.
That way, at least when I get round to finishing one of my stories, this'll be a good place to talk about it! In depth, which I can't do on the QVC UK website! Not without mentioning some of the products anyway!
Am not sure if you can put stories on herem, or what the limits are, but will have a look. Then the next blog I write could possibly be the first short story I've written in recent times - one that went up on the QVC site for Valentine's Day 2010. Fact was, they asked us for some nice romantic stories about what we were doing on the big day, or what tips we'd give or what recipes we were cooking, and since my answer to all of those was 'nada', thought it'd be best to make something up!
If only it was that easy in real life.
Fabulous holiday? No, caravan. Make something up! Antarctic here we come...
Fabulous garden? No, jungle. Make something up! RHS/ Kew, eat your heart out.
Fabulous social life? No, reality TV and four labradors. Make something up!
So in the interests of what the 'otherworld' me would be doing right now, in an ideal world (and I don't mean the telly shopping channel, dear to my heart tho that was once!), assuming we lived the life we think we should be living, if we were a grown up....
Ate supergreens for breakfast - gosh this juice is really delicious! Took dogs for four mile jog - seems I just keep losing the pounds without even trying - lucky me! Came back to do housework, but house is magically still pristine from yesterday's efforts - can't find any dust even if I try! Went off to meet publisher/agent/screenplay writer/ TV producer then caught one of my hundreds of close friends for a coffee - decaff green coffee of course! Soya milk is just so yum! Put the world to rights then felt an overwhelming urge to get home to continue latest novel. Wrote 2000 words straight off - and they are perfect! No S in front of the FD this time it seems! Finally went off to do charity work, then evening classes in Italian Cuisine. Think the guy on the right may ask me out tonight. Or is it the guy on the left - maybe it'll be both! What a day. And it all starts again tomorrow!...
Dream on, Debbie, dream on!
